PWL Transition Limited (“PWLTL”) formerly, First Global Financial Services Limited (“FGFS”) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PROVEN Investments Limited (“PIL”) and was established in April 2004. On June 1, 2014 PIL acquired 100% shareholdings in the company which was immediately renamed PWL Transition Limited. The Company was purchased following a successful renounceable Rights Issued offer by PIL in May 2014, from which in excess of J$1 billion was raised.

In December 2014, PROVEN acquired a 49.27% stake in Access Financial Services Limited (“AFS”), making it the largest shareholder in the micro-lending company. Access Financial Services Limited, one of the largest microcredit outfits, was established in 2000 and is listed on the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange.

Today, PWLTL has carved its niche as a strong competitor in the provision of well researched, insightful and comprehensive information about the local and international marketplace in addition to a comprehensive mix of products and services designed to meet the financial needs of both individuals and corporate entities.
